Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother has died, Buckingham Palace announced this evening.
She died peacefully in her sleep at 3.15pm this afternoon at the Royal Lodge, Windsor.
The Queen, her daughter, was at her bedside.

The Queen Mother had become increasingly frail in recent weeks following a bad cough and chest infection over Christmas.
Her coffin will now be moved to the Royal Chapel of All Saints, Windsor Great Park, on Sunday morning.
The Queen and the Royal Family will not now attend Easter service as planned at St George's Chapel, Windsor, on Sunday. Instead, they will attend a private service
The Queen Mother's death comes less than two months after that of her younger daughter, Princess Margaret, who died on February 9 at the age of 71.
